Un-love: chicken wings, brussel sprouts, bugs, heights, being alone, messes, dog hair
I am a born and raised city girl and I began my journey into country living after marrying my dear husband in the summer of 2007. We currently reside in Ohio amidst cornfields, wild animals and all the nuances that accompany the rural life with our lab mix, Rudi. As a childless twenty-something, I often find myself struggling to adapt to the world of farm animals and finding enjoyment in spending extended amounts of time outdoors.
My husband is a high school math teacher and football coach. I'm in Public Relations. We've got a good thing going, what with his math skills & my talking abilities.
We are gingerly traipsing through the world of infertility, unsure of what comes next for us.
As the daughter of an English teacher and a history buff, I have always been head over heels in love with writing and exploring the world. I find expressing my thoughts through the written word to be the best therapy on earth--next to my other love, running. I'm a PR Professional by trade and a passionate writer by night.
I have a deep, intense love for fashion, shoes and finding a great bargain. I'm not crafty, but I sometimes forget about my lacking skills in the creativity department. I love home decor and traditional details. I simply adore anything pink with frills and sparkles. While I lack any photographic evidence of the fact, my mother tells me I was born wearing a pink frilly dress with matching pumps and a handbag.
I approach the world with great optimism with just a pinch of sarcasm. From critiquing others to finding ways to wear the most inappropriate shoes for any occasion, I love sharing my insights on the new rural world I am now exploring.
